Fun Day!

On Sunday, we had a fun day! We took Isabella to the zoo and she got to ride the train through the park for the first time. As you can see, it was pretty exciting.

Smiling pretty for the camera.
Cheering and clapping.

Checking out the fossil wall. Mommy's sunglasses, check.

What a pretty butterfly!

Time for a snack break!

Check that out Dad! Not quite sure what she was pointing at, seeing that the bear is in the other direction!

A walk through the park back to our car.

Yippee!!! What a fun day. And it wouldn't be a walk outside without little sticks in her hands :)

Movie Time

Izzie loves Madagascar. Every time Alex the lion performs, she ever so seriously cheers with the crowd. I can't tell you how many times she has seen this movie, and every time, no fail, she cheers. It always puts a smile on my face :)

Busy Weekend!

What a wonderful, busy weekend we had! I got to meet Baby Bekah on Friday, and boy was it hard to put her down! I told Jenny that I would borrow her for the night, but she didn't seem to go for it :(Kristen, me, Addie and Bekah

Addie's sweet daughter Riley is sooooo good with Isabella. Isabella adores her :) We kept catching Isabella climbing in Riley lap or Riley holding her like a baby! It was too cute.

And of course on Saturday morning we went to Joe's graduation. It was a full house and we ended up sitting further away than we hoped. I love this picture because at the end of the ceremony some mariachis came out and sang. See them in the front? VERY San Antonio. I loved it!

The handsome graduate

Our little family :) Why can't Isabella ever look at the camera? This was the best picture out of about 5! It was hot and I think she was eyeing some water!

My parents came to support Joe :)

And of course Joe's proud, proud parents were there too!
That evening we had a little family party. I got a little too wrapped up in visiting and forgot to take pictures. I got a few in though and here is one of my favorites!
Aunt Jackie being silly with Jack :)

This was the only picture I could get with all three kids in the same shot. We missed Luke; he was at his other grandmother's house for the evening. Check out how Izzie is playing with Brandon's hair. She loves her some Norred men!

And Joe's parents rewarded him with the ultimate (at least in Joe's eyes!) gift: a playstation 3. I had him thinking they were getting him a pen :)
Thanks to everyone for helping make such a memorable day for Joe. He worked sooooo hard for it. Now that he is done with school, he's not going to know what to do with himself!

Getting Adjusted

We have been so busy in the past month, I don't even know where to start. I am way behind on posting and so many blogworthy things have happened, but I just haven't had the time to do it :(
But we are now in our beautiful, but temporary, new home and getting back into a routine of some sort. We moved in last weekend, and it went very well- nothing got broken or scratched. This was the first time in the many, many times that we have moved that that has never happened. My parents came and helped us with the move, which was so helpful because not only was it a crazy day, but I also had probably the worst sinus infection that I have had in years. I could barely think straight, let alone deal with movers! Joe's parents had Isabella, which I'm sure was a pretty big job in itself. They had her all day and were such a big help. It was so nice to not have to worry about her while so much was going on. They wore her out so much that she even took a nap for them!

I was really worried about how Isabella would adjust, but she surprised me in the most wonderful way. I tend to not give her enough credit sometimes. I thought the nights would be rough for a while, but she went to bed that first night, and every night since, like this new room was always her room. She was a little weirded out by the new bathtub at first, especially since we finally ditched the toddler tub. The first few nights, she would only stand up in the tub, but she is finally getting used to the idea of sitting down now. Here is my silly girl with her crazy hair :)

Notice below how she is not quite sitting!

And although we miss our big back yard, the new one is just as beautiful. Isabella loves to walk through the gardens and down the path. She tries to help me pull weeds, and she always seems to pick the prettiest flowers (that she shouldn't!) and brings them to me. Here she is, sippy cup in hand, exploring the yard.
