Knitting

When I was a little girl, my Granny taught me to knit. Over the years I seem to have forgotten :) So..I've started knitting lessons up again. It definitely helped that I had done it before, so picking up the beginning stuff was pretty easy. I haven't made anything quite yet; I'm still just practicing and getting a rhythm for it and trying to figure out how to make corrections if I accidentally grab the wrong piece of thread. I'm just having fun with it for now. Maybe in a few weeks time I will have something of substance to show you :)

My yarn just happened to be the same color as Izzie dress, so it is kinda hard to see, but it's there!

Swing!

When we moved into our new house, Joe took Isabella to the store to buy a big girl swing of her very own. Needless to say, we had a very busy July, and Joe just got around to putting it up. We didn't want the whole summer to pass by without her having the swing up!

What a good little helper!

Tough work requires a drink break.

"Are you done yet, Daddy?"

Gotta learn how to hold on!

And here is the first swing on many more to come!

Dirty Baby

Girls Weekend

So, I am a little behind on posts these days. Between work stuff and house stuff, I just don't seem to have as much time to get on the blog. But last weekend was my first official girls weekend since having Izzie. Addie, Kassner and I made the long drive up to Dallas to visit our sweet girls, Vaughanie and Ava. It was my first night away from Izzie, which would make that Daddy's first weekend ALONE with Izzie!

The weekend was great, even though I did miss my girl more than anything! But I think it was good for me to get away and spend some time on myself. The girls and I went shopping (and of course almost everything I bought was for Izzie!) and we went to dinner which was amazing! I actually got to eat HOT food and got to relax with a nice drink :) Although one drink was all I could handle! It was fun to reconnect with the girls and of course I loved getting to kiss all over little Miss Ava. She is such a doll, and such a good baby, which made me miss Izzie even more.

Daddy and Izzie had some fun themselves. They had a full weekend. On Saturday Joe took her to the mall, where they bought toys at the Disney store, and then to a wedding that afternoon. A big job for a Daddy all by himself :) Then on Sunday, he took her to the zoo where they rode the train and got to see all the animals. I know it was a long weekend for Joe, but Izzie adores her Daddy so much, that it was such a treat for her to have him all to herself all weekend.

Here we are in Ava's room: Addie, me, Ava and Vaughan, and Kristen.
Thanks for the fun weekend girls! I love you all to pieces!
