Surprise Photo Shoot!

Sunday night we drove to Austin to celebrate Theresa's birthday. She surprised us with dresses for Isabella's birthday (Theresa couldn't hold onto them any longer! She was so anxious for Izzie to have them!). So after dinner, we went to Zilker Gardens for an impromptu photo shoot. Here is Isabella at 22 months.

*Please note that her hair looked better before we started! As we progressed, she got hot and it was pretty humid. We started out in the black dress, with cute hair, and ended in the hot pink, having kinda crazy hair!

Theresa appropriately titled this one " Soooo over it!"

(In between costume changes!)

(She was listening to an airplane fly over.)

Shortly after this shoot,we were kicked off the bridge :(

Joe's favorite!

My favorite! They were celebrating being all done!
Thank you Theresa for ALWAYS giving us the most amazing pictures! We really appreciate all you do for us!

Thanks Elmo...

I think the pictures speak for themselves...

Welcome to the World!!

I have a niece!!!! Sweet Mia Lauren was born October 21, 2009 at 4:04 pm. She was 8lbs, 21 inches of pure sweetness! Jackie had a much easier delivery this time :) and can finally breathe again!
Here is Mia about 3 1/2 hours after she was born.

And the sweet new family of four!

Congratulations, Philip, Jackie and Luke! We love her so much already and can't wait to watch her grow into a beauty like her mommy!

Mini Town!

We went to Mini Town this week to try it out, and I must say, I think Izzie fell in love. It is an indoor play place that is exactly what it sounds like- a mini town. Super cute. Here are just a few pictures:

Izzie at the HEB. It even had a real, working Buddy Bucks machine!
Making an important call in the payphone.

And time for the salon! The chair was a little too high.

That's more like it.

The candy shop. Yes, all real candy!

The dance hall! It had strobe lights and all. (I know it looks like Izzie is pushing Jack down, but really he had gotten too into his spinning and she was trying to help him up!)

The movie theater. And guess what was playing? That's right Madagascar. She would go play in another room, but always come back to check out the movie. It was clearly her favorite place :) Real movie chairs and all.

Tippy Toe Tots

Izzie had her very first dance class this morning at Trilogy Dance! She brought along her friends Jack and Quinn with her. Now, I'm not gonna lie. All three were a little timid at first. Everything that Ms. Stacy asked Izzie she said no to- which is pretty typical these days. But after about 10 or so minutes everyone felt a little more comfortable. They did all kinds of dances and for the most part Izzie tried to follow along.

Here they are hopping with hearts.

Izzie giving Ms. Stacy her heart back, although she really didn't want to!

Dancing with scarves! Tell this girl she has a princess scarf and she is happy!

Jack acting like a frog.

Quinn acting like a frog too!

Ms. Stacy trying to show Izzie her dance spot. It pretty much went right over her head.

Izzie mimicking Ms. Stacy and acting like a snake.

Jack found his dance spot!

And some more dancing with scarves. Everyone liked that!

Thanks so much to Trilogy Dance for such a fun morning- and hopefully many more. Considering it was Izzie's first time in any kind of class, she did pretty well. She sure tried hard!

Baby #2 Check Up!

This morning I had my second appointment for Baby #2. Dr. S pulled out the doppler and the jelly, and went to work on my tummy listening intently for a little heartbeat. After literally 5 minutes of her digging into my tummy and her making funny faces, and her saying, "well, I think that's it" and me thinking that maybe I hear the heartbeat too, she decides to do an ultrasound. I started to get a little nervous, but I kept telling myself that the same thing happened with Izzie at the second appointment. So I got my ultrasound and we saw a healthy heartbeat :) and a tiny, tiny baby with tiny, tiny arms and legs just moving and dancing around. I don't remember seeing Izzie move that much at our second appointment, so seeing Baby #2 just really brought a tear to my eyes. Okay, who am I kidding, I was full out crying. I couldn't help it. But everything looks great and we get our big ultrasound in 2 months! Can't wait to start saying either he or she, instead of it or baby! Please keep us in your prayers :)

We have some major catching up to do!

The Bass household has been busy, busy, busy. So here is the Cliffs Notes version of the past couple of weeks.

First, I realized that I didn't have a picture of Izzie in her "Big Sister" shirt. So here she is:

Naturally, she refused to look at the camera. She is totally eyeing the swing!

Then we celebrated Grammy's 60th birthday ! Here are the kids helping her open her presents. Everyone wanted in on it.

Then we got to celebrate Joe's 30th birthday!!! Here is Izzie helping him open his golf inspired present. His big gift was a month's worth of lessons. I might regret it later, but he is so excited :) We got to go on a dinner date, just the two of us on his actual birthday. Mimi and PawPaw kept Izzie for us. It was nice to have dinner, just the two of us, and Izzie had so much fun that she literally woke up talking about her Mimi and PawPaw :)

Then on Saturday night we had a party with friends and family. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of battery at Brandon's party (see below) so I didn't get any pictures :( We had a great turn out and a lot of fun, even though it was pouring rain. It's always great to have the house full of people that love and support us- especially Joe in this case :)

It is the very first picture of Joe and Izzie together :) I wanted to put it in and give Joe a special birthday message, too.

Joe, I always knew that you would be a good daddy, but you have so surpassed all my expectations. It takes a special, special daddy to watch the same episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! every single night with no fail, and have a smile on your face while you are watching. What makes it even better is that I know it is your favorite part of the day- and I know that it is also the best part of Izzie's day too. I love seeing you two cuddle up together at the start of the show, get your wiggles out together, and make your funny faces. I love watching you with our little girl and can't wait to see you with our next sweet baby. I know that it was your birthday and we gave you gifts, but you being exactly who you are, an amazing husband and father, is a gift you give us every day. We love you soooooooooo much. We can't wait for the next 30 years :)

Love, your girls :)

And finally on Saturday (before Joe's party) we went to Brandon's party at Pump It Up. Izzie had sooooo much fun. I honestly don't think I have every seen her have as much fun as she did at the party. She would bounce in one house and literally sprint to the next obstacle. Unfortunately, she couldn't do most of the things by herself, so Daddy had to carry her up the 25 foot slides and through the obstacle courses. Let's just say that Izzie was either running or jumping for 2 straight hours, which meant...Daddy was also running and jumping for 2 straight hours. Let's just say that Daddy had definitely broken a sweat by the time we were done. But boy did she have fun :) Bad lighting and constant moving didn't allow for very good pictures :( But here is one.
