Playhouse

I fully admit that I have been a slacker blogger lately. But, I've been busy! I am officially in nesting mode and it seems like no closet or drawer is organized enough. I've just got this feeling that once Andrew is here, those things are going to bother me, but I won't have the time to deal with them. So, I've been nesting...and sewing! I bought myself a little sewing machine, taught myself to use it and I've been busy making things for Mr. Andrew. Don't get too excited! They are totally "beginner" things, but I've been trying and having fun doing it! I'll post some pics of what I've done soon.

But onto more fun things! We got Izzie an outside playhouse! We spend so much time outside during the spring and summer, and well, we just felt sorry for the girl for not having something fun to do out there. There are only so many rocks and sticks a girl can collect. And while she REALLY enjoys collecting sticks and rocks, I just thought we could spoil her a little. Her world is about to be shaken after all.

So, here she is helping sort parts. And yes, she did spend a good amount of time in the big box!

Helping every step along the way...

"We done yet Daddy?"

All done! And too busy to look at the camera!

But I got some cute ones the next day.

34 Weeks

I can't believe I'm already 34 weeks! I sure am feeling it, but compared to my pregnancy with Isabella, I would say this one has been easier. I went to the doctor this morning and everything is great! Andrew sounds good :) and I am just truckin' along. Just can't wait to meet my baby boy!

Disney Diva

A few weeks ago, a friend from high school sent me a message on Facebook: Does Isabella like Disney? Um..yea! Are you kidding? She is addicted to The Lion King and a few others.
I haven't seen Julie since high school but with Facebook, we, like so many others, have reconnected. (Isn't Facebook fabulous for that reason?!) Even though it's been years since we've actually seen each other, I can honestly say that she is the prime example of a genuinely nice, thoughtful person. She works for The Walt Disney Company and just wanted to send Isabella some magic :) Seriously, how sweet is that?!
I let Isabella open the package herself. I think Lucky thought he was getting something, too!
Here she is discovering her princess plate. We've already had many meals off of it!

And her Belle doll.

And her favorite: a baby Simba! Seriously, she is so in love with this Simba, that for a while there, I was thinking it might replace "baby". But no one puts baby in a corner- sorry, I had to :)

And the picture is technically for Andrew's room, but I let Izzie think it was for her :)

She also got a Mickey cookie cutter and a little thing you press into bread to imprint onto toast.

Thanks so much Julie! You made our day with your sweet package! We can't thank you enough!

You Know You're a Father When...

Joe made a bet with a coworker about who could out produce whom (or something more technical than that, I'm sure) in February, and of course my ever committed, workaholic husband won! Check out the reward:

You know you're a father when diapers are a valuable commodity!
