9 Months and Wellness

Andrew was not having it for our monkey picture this month :( In fact, he was pretty ticked off! Here he is-no helmet. That was the very best smile I could get out of him.

What a sweet face :) Helmet marks on the side and all!

Monkey make out!
He has been loving the whole pulling up and sitting on his knees bit. I was trying to get a picture of him in his new classic pose- on one knee and one foot- but I couldn't quite capture it.

Andrew had such a big month last month, so not a lot has changed except for the fact that he can stand on his own for about 10 seconds at a time. Needless to say, he thinks he is pretty cool! And he is starting to cruise, taking a step to the side here and there, but not officially cruising the whole couch. Andrew has also recently REALLY found his voice. He screams and squeals at everything. His screams can really be ear piercing! And he finally started on little Gerber finger food like puffs. He can feed himself and loves doing it :) And somebody else has rediscovered her love of puffs, and it's not me! I have to make sure that Isabella has eaten before I take them out or she will fill up on those! He had his well check about a week ago and got all good reports! He was 16 lbs, 15 oz, which I was pretty pleased with even though he stayed in the 5%. Doc said his weight is nothing to worry about; he's just a little guy!

Plagiocephaly Update

So, Mr. Andrew has had 2 helmet appointments to adjust it and take measurements. If you remember, he was at an 8 cm difference with the goal being to get in between 3 and 5. At the first appointment, he measured at 7 cm! But at his second appointment, there was no change
:( But I was reminded that he is on the right path and that it will take time.

Here he is in Novemeber when he was first prescribed the helmet.
And here he is about 7 weeks in.

See any changes? It's hard to tell since his hair has gotten so thick and luxiourious :) I see a difference in his forehead- it's a little more flat, like it should be, but I still see flatness on the back of his head and when his hair is wet, there is still a major flatness to the bottom left side.
And while I am trying to stay optimistic about the whole thing, it's starting to get old :( He gets a lot of attention for it when we are out and I'll be surprised if I don't have a broken nose by the end of this all! But hanging in there, one day at a time!

Christmas 2010

I've been a bit of a bad blogger lately, what with moving, then Thanksgiving and Christmas, so don't be surprised if you see posts with not a lot of commentary. Truth be told, most pictures speak for themselves anyways :)

Camera ran out of battery at Grammy and Papi's. Boo :(
