Evening Walks

Lately I have been trying to push back Izzie's bathtime and bedtime by 30 minutes in order to have her sleep a little longer and a little better. Don't get me wrong, she is sleeping well, but getting up at 6:30 or 7:00 is a lot easier than 5 or 5:30. Now I know that pushing back her schedule 30 minutes may not sound that difficult, but if you know Izzie well, you know that when that girl is sleepy, she isn't happy. And when Izzie ain't happy, ain't no one happy. (Side note, I promise never, never again to use the word "ain't" in a blog. It goes strongly against my beliefs, however, I felt it most appropriate in this situation. Thank you.) So in addition to swinging in the backyard after dinner time (initially worked into schedule to kill time as well) we have been going for evening walks. It has been really great for Joe and me to talk about our days, and also to get Izzie and Lucky out for some fresh, and not too hot, air. Izzie has always loved going on walks. She is such a people watcher, just like Mommy, and loves just taking in everything around her. She notices EVERYTHING! It is too precious. But I do have to say that my favorite part would be when she strains and stretches her little head back, just to look at me and give me a smile. The sweetest smile I know.
