We had our appointment with the ENT yesterday morning and the prognosis is what we expected. Isabella needs tubes.
The doc was great- very sweet, patient, all that good stuff. The younger the patient is, the sooner they get seen, so our appointment is bright and early Tuesday morning. While we aren't thrilled that this seems to be our only option, we know that she needs it. Evidently it can be a genetic thing, which would be Isabella's case. Poor Joe had bad ears when he was little too.
The whole procedure is done in minutes and she won't be in any pain when she wakes up, so that makes me feel a little better. Doc said it is usually harder on Mom than on the child. Doesn't that always seem to be the case?!
Anyways, we've heard lots of good things from lots of good people. Everyone says that the ear tubes make quite a difference. So we are looking forward to Isabella getting some relief very soon.
