He is starting to fill out, especially in his face. According to my very scientific method of weighing myself and then weighing myself holding him and subtracting my weight, he has hit the 8 pound mark! His little arms and legs are still just long and skinny. And he is constantly moving his arms when he is awake. His eyes haven't turned to brown yet; they are still steel gray. Poor Joe thinks Andrew may have a chance of escaping having my dark brown eyes. I'll just let him think that for now, but I'm pretty sure my eye color is too powerful not to dominate!
At the 3 week mark, Andrew came to the realization that you are supposed to sleep at night! He typically has his last feeding around 10 or 10:30 and then (most nights) will sleep until 3 or 3:30. I am up with him for about 45 minutes, but then he wants to get up again some time between 5 and 6. He has had a few nights though when he has slept until 7 or so after that nighttime feeding. Not too bad, but I am looking forward to sleeping though the night again.
Andrew enjoys tummy time and can lift his head from one side to the other. He loves laying on my chest and looking up at me, and he already makes cute little cooing sounds, especially after he sneezes. He also really likes the activity mat and is always entertained by his big sister :) Just like Izzie, he loves when I sing to him. If he is crying he will always stop and listen. He has given me some very sweet smiles, but I have yet to capture them on camera yet. He still sleeps most of the day, but will stay awake for about an hour and a half at a time maybe 3 or 4 times a day.

This first month has been a tiring one, but certainly very enjoyable. I'm sure it's the hormones, but I still can't help but get a little teary when I think about his birthday. I just feel so blessed to have this special little man in my life and every day I thank God (and Dr. S!) for bringing him safely to me.
