Isabella's Halloween Parade and Party

Isabella was so excited to get to wear her Minnie Mouse costume (one of her many costumes!) to school on Thursday for a Halloween parade and party. I guess the teacher in me figured that certain things wouldn't be allowed, so I didn't paint her nose and let her wear her ears like she would have liked. After I saw all of the kids, I wished that I had done those things, but she was fine with her pretend ears.

Striking a pose

And I had to include the sequence of events that followed...

Ever the entertainer!

And at the parade! I love how walking in a long line constitutes a "parade"!
Here is her class.

Jack was Luigi! I was behind Lisa in the drop off line that morning and when he got out of the car, all the teachers got the biggest smiles on their faces! He had, in my humble opinion, the best costume in class! The mascara mustache really made it all come together!

Isabella finally spotted us!

They paraded around twice, and after they passed the first time I kept thinking that she looked upset (she was pretty far at that point) and when they passed the second time, my poor baby was crying! I guess she didn't understand why I was there but she couldn't have me! But I was so proud of her because she stayed with her class and never let go of the rope, even through her tears :(

And here is the whole Lambs class! See what I mean about Jack deserving the best costume award?!

Singing their song before eating.
And saying the meal time prayer. Seriously, how sweet is that!

And a close up of Mr. Jack :)

The two buddies :)

Isabella had such a great time at her party and was done crying when I finally got to the room. She was so happy to see me; she kinda had to do a double take :) And both of her teachers took some time to talk to my about how she was doing in class. She doesn't usually nap at rest time (she comes home and naps- she just loves that bed!), but they said that she lays quietly and doesn't disturb the others who are napping. And she has gone pee pee on the potty a few times. But the best part, was that one of her teachers told me that she is very polite and says please and thank you all of the time without being asked too! I felt very proud :) It has only been a few months, but I can already see the impact preschool is having on her. She is really starting to speak in complete sentences, she has much more interest in the potty (not that she'll go for me!), she's learning so much so quickly and I know that she has so much fun while she is there. She is always happy to go in the morning and happy when I pick her up- a mom couldn't ask for more :)

izzie has such a fun personality, no wonder evie likes her so much! what a moment you must have had, watching your girl do so many big girl things, it was so cute to see her as a preschooler! and what they said to you about how polite she is totally shows what a kind girl she is, and what a great mommy she has!

how great!! :) Love that precious minnie! the poses were fabulous...it is a given that you had to include all the sequence! like a flip book! :) hysterical. Jack does have an awesome costume but that chicken is a close second! I am glad Izzy is doing so well in school- I know exactly what you mean about seeing the progress so quickly! But the nice manners is just her being the precious thing that she is and that her wonderful momma raised her to be! go you! :)
