Update on the twins

The girls were 2 weeks last Wednesday! I can't lie-their NICU stay has been pretty difficult on me. Although they are both doing well, its just so hard to not have them home with us.  It's like our life has been paused until they are home.

These pictures are from last Friday when they were a week and a half.

Aunt Lisa

My first time to hold them together :)

I told the nurse that if I'd known it was going to be such a big day for me, I would have tried a little bit harder! Oh, well. I was just happy to hold my girls.

And these are from last Wednesday; 2 weeks old!

This is their temporary home.

Izzie got to visit after ballet.

Madelyn

 And Andrew came too...

And here is their real home. Ready and waiting for them!

And they have had some pretty big improvements over the past 2 weeks: temps have been regulated and they have moved into regular hospital cribs, cords have fallen out, Abigail is on bottle feeds only and Madelyn is on her way there, getting 2 bottles per nurses shift (so 4 in a 24 hour period). And weight-wise  Madelyn is up to 4.9lbs and Abigail is 5.3lbs- getting so big :) Have I mentioned that we can't wait to have them home? I miss my sweet girls.
