Isabella at 10 months

It seems like every month catches up to us so quickly. Here is a quick shot of Isabella with Darth Vader. I don't know what I will do if she is as into Star Wars as her daddy is!

As far as development goes, she is still sleeping through the night (yea!) and doesn't need me to go to sleep at all. She is still pretty much refusing table food, although we did have a bit of a break through at Aunt Lisa's this morning with little bits of hot dog. Maybe we are on to something. She has 8 teeth now, so maybe that is helping. Many more teeth than last month- she broke 3 all at one time!

She still thinks that she can walk, even though she can't! Each week she seems to add a step to her walk before falling on her butt or forward onto her hands. She is up to taking 4 steps on her own. But sometimes she will just take off like she is some professional walker. She can also stand all by herself for longer periods of time now- probably for about 30 seconds before she gets tired or bored and sits down. I'll try to get her on video soon.

And to my dismay, Isabella already seems to be a bit boy crazy. Oh dear, what am I going to do! It's no secret that she LOVES her daddy, but she has also showed much interest in other men too- and not just family members. No, no. She always manages to flirt with our waiters. They are usually sweet about paying attention to her, but she always keeps her eye on them, even after they leave our table. One time we had a waiter at Chili's that every time he would walk away from us, she would fake cough so he would turn around and look at her- which he would every time, so she just kept doing it. And Saturday night at dinner, Isabella was so into watching one of the male managers that when she couldn't see him anymore because Joe was in her way, she leaned forward to look around Joe and continue watching him! It was the funniest thing- I wish I would have had my camera! Although I think she got her people watching habits from me, Aunt Theresa and I agree that Isabella probably got her boy craziness from her!

She still loves reading books and gets upset when they are over. This is actually a trait that I hope she manages to keep :) Right now she is really into those lift a flap books. She knows exactly which way each of those little flaps open.

Isabella has also learned to clap and still loves being praised. I love when babies clap because it usually takes them a while to truly get it down right. It is so cute watching her try, sometimes hitting and sometimes missing those tiny hands. And finally, she still says dada, mama and she can now say hi, and we are working on saying turtle- which comes out more like tu-ta. But she sure is trying.
