Joe's Birthday!

Yesterday was Joe's 29th birthday. He took the day off from work and spent the day with his girls :) We had such a good day with no stress, no worry and lots of family time. We decided to spend the morning at the zoo, before it got too hot. We had a great time just walking around, while Joe explained every animal to Isabella as if he was the Crocodile Hunter.

We went into the petting zoo to feed the goats. I thought maybe Isabella would be a little afraid. But she wasn't! She would just look at the goats and look at us. Although she did want to get down and crawl around...just the thought of that makes me want to bathe her!

Joe and I did get to feed the goats though, which was kind of fun until we both got bullied by "Licks"- the gray goat in the two pictures above. He was taking the food out of the dispenser before I could even get it out. Then he bit my shorts because I wouldn't give him more. When it was Joe's turn, Licks just followed him around and even rammed Joe in the knee. We both agree that maybe the children's petting zoo isn't the best home for Licks :)

Then last night we went out to dinner with Joe's mom. We had a great meal and Isabella was so good even though she was soooo tired. The waiters sang to Joe for his "21st" birthday and Isabella just stared at them with little bug eyes- they were pretty loud .

I hope Joe had a great birthday because he truly deserves it. He works harder than anyone I know and on top of that, he is a truly, truly amazing father to our little girl :)
