Cyclops Mommy

My right eye has been bothering me off and on for about a week and a half now. I just kept thinking that it would go away- that is the easier solution than going to the doctor. I know that is horrible, but it is hard to take care of yourself when you have a 5 month old. So, I called the doctor this morning and when I described my symptoms over the phone, I was told to call a ophthalmologist instead. Um...not what I wanted to hear. Being told to go to a surgeon is not a good feeling. So my doctor recommended one, and they were kind enough to squeeze me in.

The ophthalmologist told me that my eye was is such bad condition that it was "screaming" at him. Again, not good. Turns out that I have a corneal ulcer. He said that I am very lucky about the positioning of the ulcer. It is right above my line of vision, and had it been a bit lower, it could have had permanent damage. So I am left to wear glasses for a week (which is fine except for the fact that Isabella pulls them off my face every chance she gets!). He prescribed some expensive drops and I have to see him again in a week. So please say a little prayer for me and my poor eyesight!
