What a Week!

So much has happened in the past week, and I am so far behind on catching everyone up! I promise that I have good excuses...First of all, our air conditioner went out. Not fun in 100 degree weather, especially with a teething baby. And second, Isabella has decided that she no longer takes long naps- she likes the short 30 minute naps instead. So time is precious when she is napping. That said, I'll try to catch you up on everything- I'll just make it the Cliff's Notes version.

1. We have teeth! Isabella cut her first tooth at the beginning of last week and the second one followed just a few days later. Evidently they come in pairs. She hasn't been too happy- I'm pretty sure it hurts quite a bit. She has had a fever to accompany her teeth, but I think that she is feeling a lot better today. I tried to get a few pictures of her teeth to show off but that didn't really work! I'll be sure to post a good picture once I get one.

2. Lake! Isabella had her first trip to the lake this past weekend. She loves to be outside, so she had a really good time. It was just so darn hot that she didn't get to stay outside as much as either of us would have liked, but she still had a great time with her Grammy and Papi.

3. Meeting Baby Alex! Yes, Isabella met her first non-relative friend on Sunday. It was great to see Cassie and Travis and finally get to meet Alex. He is just as precious as his pictures. Is it a problem that Isabella is twice the size of her first "boyfriend"? Even so, I think they are a match made in heaven. I can hear it now...Isabella Isaacson. Sounds good, right?! :)

4. Yummy, yummy cereal! I've started giving Isabella cereal. We tried it a few weeks ago, but she seemed to have allergic reactions to it. So, of course we stopped with the cereal and waited a few weeks. Hopefully she will have a better reaction this time. Keep your fingers crossed! So far so good. The poor girl just wants to eat some real food. She stares at us when we eat and even opens her mouth super wide, like maybe, just maybe we will be generous and share a bit. If I am holding her in my lap while I am eating, I have to watch her closely because if I don't, she will grab whatever she can get her tiny, little hands on. And it probably doesn't help that Joe teases her by passing his food right by her as he eats. Bad Daddy.

So, that is the watered down version of all the happenings of the Bass household for the past week. I know, it is very captivating stuff!
