Andrew is 4 Months!

Andrew turned 4 months on Saturday. He just keeps making us smile :) He is still such a happy, smiley baby. The big news for this month is that he is rolling over! He actually did it for the first time on Thursday night, and I missed it! Sadly, I missed about the first 5 times he rolled over :( I had walked out of the room for just a second and once I was even sitting right next to him reading a book to Isabella! But he really got the hang of it yesterday and even did a little bit of showing off for the video camera. He's pretty good at it now and actually gets over that shoulder pretty easily.
He has also been "talking" so much more this past month. He just coos and coos and he is starting to learn that in this house, to get attention away from his big sister, he has to get loud. He has little conversations with his Daddy at night. I think Joe is determined to have his first word be "Dada", and I won't be surprised when it is. He also started laughing too. Izzie can get the best laughs out of him. Mostly he just lets out little chuckles, but he's let out a few hardy belly laughs, too. Andrew is getting so strong. He has a pretty good little grip. He tries to hold his bottle, he will hold my pinky when I am feeding him, and he has also discovered my hair- so let the hair pulling begin! He is still wearing 0-3 months, but I think he has been doing well in the weight gaining department. We go in for his 4 month wellness in another week or so and I'm anxious to see how much he weighs.

The only bad thing about this month is that his sleeping has taken a turn in the wrong direction over the past 2 weeks. I really thought he was making good progress towards sleeping through the night, but then suddenly, he put the breaks on. He had been sleeping through the night 1-2 times a week, but now it would seem like a miracle to just get one good night. So now instead of waking up one time around 3:30 or 4, he likes to wake up 2 times, usually about 1 and 4. It's starting to take its toll on Mommy! But I have to admit that he has a pretty sweet face to wake up to and sometimes, like last night, he just wants to spend a few (or 15) minutes just smiling at each other :) Hopefully there is an explanation for his poor sleeping habits lately because I'm ready to get some rest.
